At Solid Foundation PT we care about more than just taking care of your body but also your social life. So as most of us are aware the Super Bowl is this weekend and that means gathering with our friends and family. Every year the Super Bowl has a lot to offer to its audience; but for the most part I only turn in for the Halftime Performance and the promise of a cold beer. However, this year it seems like the NFL has casted the net for a larger audience. I mean this time we have a beloved Pop star dating some player and the potential nod to an iconic Spongebob episode. So whether you are die-hard football fan, a Taylor Swift fan, or a millennial excited for some throwbacks one thing is for sure – a delicious snack is a game changer. This Super Bowl, let’s elevate our snack game with a recipe that not only satisfies your taste buds but also is pretty nutritious. 

 

Recipe: Protein-Packed Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (adjust according to your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves (for wraps)
  • Toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded carrots, celery sticks

 

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Greek yogurt, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Wash and separate the iceberg lettuce leaves, creating a bed for your wraps.
  3. Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture onto each lettuce leaf, spreading it evenly.
  4. Top with diced tomatoes, shredded carrots, and celery sticks for added crunch and freshness.
  5. Serve and enjoy these protein-packed buffalo chicken lettuce wraps with your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
